Ever change your mind about selling a gun?

Got out one of my rifles I was thinking of selling. Took it apart, cleaned it up. Had a buggered screw from previous owner. Tracked down the right screw and replaced it.
Now I think I'm going to put it back in the safe.

No....but what rifle are we talking about here? You have to at least say what it is haha. You should take that rifle out to the range now to get that love back you once had when you had to have it.

A 96 year old Winchester model 52. Am seriously thinking about taking it to the range Sunday.

One of the reasons I was thinking of selling was last year I bought one that is newer and much nicer. Always wanted a 52, bought the older one first and then found "the one".

I generally don't sell guns. I do have a couple of rifles I might part with, but they aren't anything special... and I would replace them with something else. If it's sentimental or vintage, never.

I am all about the trade, I cannot get myself to simply sell one. To me the value of what the firearm represents and the dying acceptance for them is worth way more to me than a few bucks. A trade I can live with, 1 for 1

Exactly, even if I sold the "not so special" rifles I'd really prefer a trade or immediately buying another one to replace it. None of the guns I'd part with are worth more than a bad utility bill so I'd rather have a gun that a few hundred bucks.

You just don't know how much longer you'll be able to buy any gun in this jacked up state.

Was recently about sell my S&W model 10 that was my Dad's because the K Frame is too large for my smaller hands (for a good fit). Took pictures to post on the Utah Gun Exchange.

But I remember being with him when he bought it at a Norco liquor store on 2nd and Hamner in 1969.. After cashing his paycheck there.

Was his sidearm on his Quaking Aspen hunting trips.
Kept loaded at home for just in case defense.

Nostalga won and decided to keep it, shoot it occasionally and figured it will become my son's..

I didn't exactly change my mind...but I do regret selling my Ruger Mini-14 a few years ago.

im always thinking about selling my Beretta 84F - i don't hardly ever shoot it anymore - i'd use it as a starter gun for the girls i would train in shooting, until they were ready for something a bit bigger - years and years ago it was a gun i carried on one of my side jobs

it was my first semi-auto gun too

honestly, i'll never sell it, don't need the money and it's still a great firearm - hell i just bought some new grips for it, then put it back in the safe

i just lie to myself about getting rid of it

I sold a Siaga 762x39, realized the error of my ways and bought another one a month later. Only lost around $100 and the second one shot better, so it was sort of a wash.

35 years i've had it - it's not going anywhere

it's dated though - i was a great service firearm in a time when 9mm semi-autos where a lot bigger - as the 9's became smaller and smaller it only made sense to go with them

I don't sell any of mine any longer. I always end up wishing I didn't sell something after the fact so I figured I would just be happy with I have.
