    ZORE X thoughts?

I saw a thread here a while back mentioning this and I thought it was a clever idea and got an email today saying they're ready to begin shipping in early February. I like the idea but people say you lose fine motor skills once the adrenaline starts flowing so I'm not sure this would be any easier or faster than punching a few buttons on a bedside electronic safe. Looking for thoughts and opinions on this. Anyone here a tester for these? The price does seem a bit steep for what it is.

I'm not sure what it really does? What problem is it addressing exactly? I don't leave guns out at my house to be "tampered with" when I'm not home.
Buy made in USA whenever possible.

I watched the video until he said it works/connects with a phone.

No thanks. I do not want anything that talks to an iPhone near my guns, let alone installed on my gun. You can call me old fashioned or pre-historic or what ever.

I currently have a GunVault mounted to the floor next to the bed. Three button pushes and it’s open. Has a tactical pad so I can do this easily by feel in the dark. This device, up to 20 individual clicks in a specific pattern to unlock? I don’t think I’ll have the fine motor skills to do that when someone’s kicking in my door. I’d also have to take the extra step to remove the device and chamber a round

I notice their examples don’t show the GunVault with the tactile / finger groove interface you can access in the dark, but a standard push button safe.

One cool thing it does have is the movement alert indicator, but I’m not sure it’s worth it solely for that.

That's kinda how I feel about it. The concept seems great but not so sure about the practicality of it. I have a small bedside safe that I put my HD weapon in at night that requires a 4 digit code that is easily doable in the dark but I feel like if I had quicker access without compromising security it would be a good thing. I'm not really interested in the movement alert indicator because when I'm not at home all weapons are locked up in a safe. It seems like a nice feature but not at the top of my priority list.

Not a bad idea. They also need to have a web enabled motion/tamper sensor to attach to any safe or lock box.

For the ready guns- Gun vault for me, no problem opening it in the dark.
For the safe, I already have tamper alert system that will notify me over my cell phone /don’t sneeze within 6’ from my safe, I will know about it/.
I will not trust any product with loaded and unattended firearm. Period. But it can come very handy to check if your kids learn the lesson “do not touch any gun”, wit the gun positively proven empty of course.

My defensive guns are always chambered so it's a no from me. Besides, it's electronic. A third strike if you want it is that it does nothing to secure the gun. By the time you are notified it's already gone with the thief and that's if your phone is handy at that moment.
