    Android app for ammo inventory

    Hey fellow CalGunners

I just uploaded an Android app that I wrote that might be of interest for all gun owners. It's called "Gun Ammo Inventory"
As the name suggests, it's an app that helps you manage your ammo inventory and gun collection. It's actually a big feature update from my old app that used to just keep track of gun usage, called "Firearm Round Counter". But the update is big enough that it might as well be a brand new app.

Since pictures are worth a 1000 words, I'll just upload some screenshots here:

You can find the app here on Google Play Store:

I originally made the app (Firearm Round Counter) for myself to use. But I figured I should make the app public and free for others to use, and for my contribution to the 2A community. And someone had the brilliant idea of adding ammo inventory feature to the app. At long last here it is. Hope you all enjoy!

P.S. If you like the app, it would really help me out if you gave it a favorable review. It will help my resume (I'm Android developer by trade) and help me land better jobs, so I can keep making more cool, free apps

    EDIT:
Edited to mention that all data is stored locally on the phone. The app does not have internet access, so nothing gets stored on the cloud. If you want some sort of backup in case your phone is lost in tragic boating accidents, the app has a "export to CSV" feature.

Cool thanks; wish I could use it, but I have IOS.

For now, I created a password protected Excel spreadsheet that lists brand, number of rounds, caliber, bullet weight, MV, and muzzle energy foot pounds, just to be OCD about it, but a dedicated app would be preferred.

        Since we're the paranoid bunch...

        1. Where is the data stored? (local and/or elsewhere?)
        2. How is the data stored? (encrypted?)

If the state serves you with a subpoena, would you have a lawyer help you fight it, or would you turn over all the data without question?

Hmm. Does the OP work for the DOJ? Democratic party?

All data is stored locally. The app does not have (or ask for) internet access.
The Android OS disallows users or other apps from accessing an app's private data. So unless your phone is rooted, it's safely kept

Not bragging or complaining here, but it would have been nice if you developed something like that back in the 80's. Its to late for me to try and start counting now. My only hope is to have it all shot up before I'm to old and feeble to hold and shoot a gun.....lol......

Local data. So if I upgrade, destroy or lost my phone, guns and ammo in a boating accident I loose all data? Still have to keep spread sheet updated...

                          Excellent questions.
                          I'll pass on this app.

The app lets you create CSV files for backup.

Or if you trust Google, you can let Google store app data on their cloud (for all apps, not just this one)

Doesn't come up when I search for it on the Play Store.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...
