I agree 100% that their QC has not kept pace with demand. This is the exact reason I’m on the fence. I’ve only ever had issues with vortex. Their warranty is better than anyone’s else’s, but I’ve never had to use anyone else’s.

I have 2 gen 2 sfp models and have had 0 issues.

Give them a chance to make it right.

Everyone is so quick to post how horrible a company/product is because their item isn't perfect.

And no need to post in multiple areas.

I understand what you’re saying about quick to judge and I agree with you. 2 scopes in 2 years with issues is a bit much I think. If I have bad luck than so be it. I’m gauging what other people are experiencing. I truly do feel that they are moving faster than the QC dept though. I’ve never had to use any other scope manufacturers warranty service besides vortex. I’ve owned and used a great deal of scopes which I think says something. This is by no means a vortex bashing thread, rather a “who’s out there like me, cause this is more than 1x occurrence for me” thread

Please do not make untrue statements about their warranty. Leupold has had the "lifetime you do not need to be the 1st owner or have done something stupid" type warranty even before Vortex started sell scopes.

This is not a put down or bashing of Vortex or anyone. It is just that others may not understand that other companies have the same type of service. So that is not really such a great selling point since they just copied Leupold anyway. It is not like their warranty is a step above everyone else. It also is not below others in their defense.
I believe Bushnell has also started doing this. I know they did not years ago as I trashed a scope that they wanted too much to repair. I also think there are other brands doing the same now.
I know BSA(short for Back Slowly Away) service/warranty sucks completely even for 3 broken scopes right out of the box. The best thing about their scopes is that they make good "see if I can shoot thru the lenses end to end target. I can.

A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Ya, I’m firing vortex. When I get the scope back I’m selling it and going to bushnell, then nightforce next year. I’m not going to buy any vortex products for a long time. They’re is just too much out their that isn’t suffering from QC.

I only had one range visit with my recently acquired PST Gen 2 5-25x50 EBR-2C MRAD. It is on a CZ 455 and I tested it from 25 to 100 with some inbetween (e.g. 50, 65, 75, 85, 90, 100) and back down. Seems to track back the 25 without issue.
