How much is too much? (Guns and ammo)

Poll is for "Firearms" ammo varies too much to be polled.

How much is too much? (Guns and ammo) I'm not talking about media and sheeple since 3 rifles and a 1 pellet gun and a box of 500 rds .22lr is what media and sheeple calls "arsenal"

How much guns and ammo are considered "normal" "excessive" ?

    Excessive like 1,200 guns ? dead-la-man-1-200-guns-identified-part-alien

I might be totally off but my thinking calgunners.

    "Low end"
Might or might not have mods and optics
    1x shotgun
    1x rifle
    2x pistol
    Couple thousand rounds

"average" Some modified and outfitted with optics
    3x shotgun
    5x pistols
    3x rifle
    2x long range
    1,000-5,000 rounds

    "High end"
all modified and outfitted with optics and mods.
    10+ shotgun
    30+ rifles
    20+ pistols

Recently with the California ammo restrictions I'm sure we all loaded up.

Some says each go to weapon platform should have 10,000 rds.?

    Thoughts?

"Normal" is the amount that gets adjusted to what ever the number I end up with !

I'm assuming we're talking about bacon here.
Buy made in USA whenever possible.

Meh, much like grandfather said about having enough to drink, “I’ve had enough when I die!” Never have too much! I’ve taken my collection to guns that are valuable, not throw away, dime a dozen type. I have my G19s, and run of the mills, but I look for the nice stuff now

                There is no limit.
As long as I can store them safely then I will keep collecting.

Your poll makes no sense. What are the units? Guns? Ammo cartridges? Some combination?

I seem to be the Noah's Ark type collector. I bought an 870 and a 500. An SKS and an AR. A Colt and a Kimber, etc. That said, I'm probably somewhere between the average and high end collector numbers wise.

This sums it up for me. Just bought a second safe and it's not over filled like the first one yet.

                          The minimum

                          The minimum would be:

                          1 good handgun for HD
                          1 for carry
Enuff ammo for both guns for 1 year at the range - of course don't wait to restock !!

                            There is no limit.

Practically though, it should be limited to how much one can afford, store and not neglect other facets in life.

Does the 1 for every year you've been alive still apply?
