Question on Saiga

I don't know anything about Russian rifles, so any help would be appreciated...

A friend of mine has a Saiga (or is it a SKS) with a bayonet... the serial numbers all match and it is stamped “Made in Russia”, and has a Monte Carlo style stock...

Are all Saigas manufactured in Russia?

There is a floor plate with spring on what looks like a mag well.

Will this rifle accept a detachable mag?

What is its value?

All Saigas that are stamped "made in Russia by Izmash" are 100 percent manufactured in Russia and do come with a monte carlo style stock. They are essentially ak's that are genuinely russian, that are sporterized/ cali legalized. They do not come with bayonets. Saigas go for around $600 nowdays. All saigas do except a detachable mag. But if you convert it to a pistol grip config then you will need a maglock.

Roger that, plus with a mag that doesn't detach.....it sounds like an SKS. Is it milled with the receiver cover that removes with a pin or do you push a button to remove a piece of sheetmetal?

It has a nice wood stock... the rifling is sharp and clean...

SKS, they're worth more if left alone. Does it have a star or kinda arrow markings on it? The Arrow is Izmash and the sorta star is Tula.What year it should say.

That looks like a SKS D or M. Norinco made them.......The girl....looks possiblly made in America.
