    Extremely confused...

Hello everyone. New to this forum, though I have always been interested in guns as a hobby. Happy new year to everyone in California, and around the world! Ok, so, as we all know, here in commiefornia...erm....California, every year marks some installation of new rules and laws. Some better (mostly worse). I am very confused on the new ammunition laws. I walked into my local Walmart to pick up some ammo and saw a big sign that said that they don't sell ammo. I googled. This is what I understand, and please note, I probably have some of this info wrong, so I am looking for the CORRECT information.

1.) You have to wait 21 days to get ammo.
2.) You cannot order ammo online anymore, and have it delivered to your house.
3.) You cannot purchase ammo out of state and bring it back into california.
4.) You cannot lend ammo to friends, family, neighbors, milk man.
5.) You cannot sell privately ammo to anyone unless you go through a dealer or have a license.
5.) You cannot trade ammo between persons.
6.) The assault ban was widened to include semi-auto pistols, anything with a removable clip, and anything with a pistol grip.
Number 6 leaves me to wonder, what is left? Revolvers? Muskets? Bolt action rifles? Please fill me in.
7.) You will have to have a background check before buying ammo.
8.) You must complete a firearms cert class, safety etc before buying ammo.
9.) You must submit a forum which you must state why you are ordering/purchasing the ammo, what quantity, and what you will use the ammo for.

How far off am I? I hope to God I am wrong on most of these, if not then.....

Happy new year, God bless, hope you had a good Christmas.
    Peace.

I realized I put line 5 twice. Oops.
      ok, so
for 5.) and 5.1) (let's go with that), I cannot trade ammo. Ok......so, if my dad's friend gives me a box of rounds, is that illegal? If I happen to be spending time, having dinner, start talking guns, he goes "hey, here, have some ammo for the range, on the house." is that action illegal?

a detail for 2 - you can still order online, but must have it shipped to a FFL (or someone without a FFL but has the new "ammo vendor license", which is like a CA ammo only FFL, and which DOJ has yet to actually issue any. This would be like Walmart). It's the same process you could order a rifle online and do the same. FFL/dealer will charge a fee. I doubt anyone's used this yet, but it is legal. Good luck finding a seller who is ok with it, and a FFL who is ready to do it.

Not to derail my own thread, but, call me crazy, it seems like the DOJ is waiting for people to...."forget" about this so they won't have to issue the licenses. I mean, wouldn't they have had them ready to go for the new year? I talked with the manager for the walmart and he said he had applied, twice, and the DOJ hasn't gotten back to him. He applied way back in November, I believe....

you cannot transfer ammo, which is the more correct term (unless you transfer through a dealer, like a firearm, and there's a 500 round/month limit without a dealer license). So give, lend, gift, sell, etc. is no-go. If you are both at the range together you can shoot his ammo, but you couldn't take it home.

and there are several threads about the chaos of not issuing licenses yet. It's a big cluster. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear that tomorrow when the courts open there's a suit filed.

This is insane. Ammo is ammo, no matter what law abiding citizen has it. Sure, if I'm on the range, but that means I can't give it as Christmas presents anymore. This is truly ludicrous.

The liberals are excelling at confusing people. Pretty soon they will get what they want when people stop buying guns because they are too scared of all the ridiculous intertwining laws.
