PS90: how to restore the mag release when going featureless

Folks I have a 2016-era Ca. compliant PS90 (long silencer-looking muzzle extension--OAL is 30 1/4", and --epoxy blobs where the mag release used to be)

I want to go featureless and my understanding is: I need to put a regular mag release back on. Does anyone have a write up or pics that has removed the epoxy and done this? I can "probably" figure it out, I was just curious if someone has blazed that trail already.

Epoxy blobs? they filled the void where to tabs stuck out?

Mine just came with a aluminum mag release with no tabs for fingers in place of the stock one..

Worst come to worst, try and find a replacement stock, Idk how hard that would be.

OK, you're right not just epoxy "blobs" per se

The California Compliant™ absence of the pull-tabs that release the magazine require you to jigger a long object in there and pull the retaining wedge back yourself. Then the long magazine pops upward.

but some plates with a U-shaped cutout that appear to be epoxied in to the receiver.

        1) Disassemble rifle
        2) look down the ejection port
        3) see if whoever did your ca compliants epoxied the small allan screw. It will be kind hard to see.
        4) if there is a blob of epxoy then you might have a problem.

Well, once I dug into it, it was a piece of cake. I bought a Man Kave mag release. Opened the PS90 up and found the stock plastic mag release had the pull tabs ground off as part of the old bullet button conversion. The two steel blocking plates popped off easily with a little heat gun and a screwdriver. I believe the guys who did the conversion used a glue that would remove easily on purpose! Not even a trace of glue. No grinding or sanding required to clean up the mag release area. Installed the Man Kave and FinGrips kydex for the thumbhole and now am featureless.
