    The flowchart has a picture of a Muzzle Break (S/B Brake)

      It also has a picture of what is meant to be a brake flash hider. The flowchart pictures are representative, and suggest a way to pick a brake from a flash hider.

      If you know an absolutely CA-DOJ-proof way to definitively establish a particular device is one or the other, please share.

              Could be - that is indeed an error.

              Lots of other stuff needs updating; someone will catch that if there is a next revision
