Purchasing a on roster pistol frame?

I am thinking about purchasing a Cz sp-01 pistol frame. Can this be done in California? Can I buy a frame from out of state and have it shipped to a FFL? If I can find one.

There are no frames on the roster. No FFL I know would book it in as a complete gun unless it was a complete gun. They risk their business doing that. Frames and complete guns are two different things.

You will need an upper and need to make this gun as-tested on the roster, which means a factory upper and factory lower parts - and complete the pistol assembly before DROS, if you want to do this.

Why don't you just buy a complete SP-01 and sell the slide and keep the frame?

No. There are no 22LR Cz on the roster. You can put the Kadet upper on after you get it home and take the roster upper off.
