Glock 30 to 29 Conversion, anyone have success?

I've got a G20 so I'm in the 10mm game, and I've been reading up on 10mm conversions for my G30, but read nothing but reliability issues, and I'm not a big fan of conversions, although I have seen them run flawlessly, but not in 45 to 10mm.
Now I'm looking at purchasing a complete G29 10mm slide.
Glockmeister had them but no longer on their website.

Have any of you gentlemen gone this route? Any thoughts?

    Thanks

It's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop at the bottom.

Purchasing whole 29 slide? I haven't shot mine yet; I have a 30 and the only addition I thought was need was the barrel and maybe a new recoil spring.

I'd recommend buying a complete G29 upper instead of just a conversion barrel. IIRC, you can find complete uppers on Gunbroker for reasonable prices.

There's a lot of 10mm fans maybe someone will do a meet up and let you borrow a slide for a shooting session. Let you see how it runs .

You need G29 mags for sure. There’s a couple of YouTube vids by a guy who documents his trial and errors with a Storm Lake barrel + several spring changes, poor reliability: Ftf’s, Fte’s. I’m trying to find out if anyone has got a good solid combo to work flawlessly...my last resort would be a complete slide. Gunbroker has them but I might as well buy a G29 for what they are asking for just the slide!
I don’t see many come up in the marketplace, and several people looking for them.

I did the 21 to 20 conversion. Bought a 20 upper on gunbroker. Seller had mags as well. Picked up an aftermarket spring and guide rod. No problems.

              Good luck

I've read good things about those, but not the 30/29.

Yeah I love shooting my G20 too! I just put up an ad in the "WTB" for a G29 slide.
