AK build magazine question

I am building my first AK and am wondering if I need to shave some off of my magazine? It is a polymer promag so it would be easy enough to dremel some off if necessary. It doesn't go into the receiver as far as it looks like it should. It hits the bottom "rails" that are below the rails. Here are a few pictures so that hopefully you an see hat I am talking about:

if the mag locks in, shoot it. build the gun first, then worry about fitting.

I haven't put on the trigger guard and magazine lock yet so I don't know but I'll go look into putting that stuff on.

I just put the trigger guard on and it doesn't make it in far enough to lock into place. It seems to get hung up on the "rails" which are under the ejector and other rail. In a couple of the pics you can see where it is hitting those "rails" on the side. Can I trim those?
