Good Quality and Affordable iron sights?

Looking for recomendations on some sights for my AR. All done with it, it just needs a decent set of sights. I do have both a scope and red dot which I can change out depending on what I am doing but just need to get around to getting some sights. Not just for backup but I like to shoot once in a while with just iron.

Top mount would be fine, offset would be pretty cool. I am not too sure about the polymer sights I have seen, prices are decent but not sure I want plastic sights, Am I wrong feeling they are inferior?

I will spend the extra cash for quality/function, But I do not want to be paying more just for a brand name or trendy looking sight. I am looking for a durable set of sights that function well (easy to use/accurate). I just don't want to overpay. I just do not have enough experience with AR sights to know what to go with. But most of you have been around the block a time or two so..

    Ideas?

I put this USGI rear sight on my Colt M4 https://www.brownells.com/rifle-part...prod26575.aspx

      Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.

        I use what Milsurp posted.
Not as a stand alone, but a backup only. As intended.

Knights micro rear sight off eBay. Do some searching for the sellers with lots of feedback.

I recently finished a super-budget 7.62x39 upper build, using a lot of leftover parts and a barrel I got for $50 on a Black Friday deal. I put these sights on it:

Thanks, will add all that to my searches, by the way, no dual optics or QD at this time. Standard mounds for 2 separate optics.
