.22 LR Bolt Action

I have a Ruger 10/22 Carbine and I love it, it's a great gun and I won't go broke shooting it; however, I want to purchase my first bolt action rifle.

What are some .22LR bolt actions rifles I should take a look at?

I plan on moving to AZ in 2018 so I would love a rifle that is accurate at long range and capable of accepting a suppressor. (The gun is only for target shooting)

Any recommendations?

Do any of you have opinions on the CZ 455 Ultra Lux?

I'm thinking I may as well get the CZ 455 Ultra Lux for a bolt action and worry about getting one capable of being suppressed when I actually get a suppressor. (Another great excuse to just get another gun, haha)

Ruger American Rimfire should be your first look, uses same mags as your 10/22 and when you move to free state you can get the factory 25 round mags and use them in either rifle.

But CZ 455's are hard to beat, great quality reputation. They offer a rifle package that comes with 2 barrels that easily swap out so you can shoot 22LR or .17HMR.

My Savage Mk IV (III?) came with a factory rail and threaded muzzle. Very inexpensive, nice trigger, and very accurate. If you want to upgrade the stock there are aftermarket options.

Mossberg 44US, Winchester 52, etc. and don't worry about a suppressor. You can always buy a lesser rifle and suppress it later.

I applaud your choice of firearms, OP. A bolt action .22 is always a range favorite whenever I take the family out for a range day. I always have a wide assortment of arms when we go to BLM land; shotguns, semi-auto rifles of varying calibers, multiple semi-auto handguns and wheel guns. But a few years ago my father handed down his 8th birthday present from his father, a Savage Arms Model 3C. That rifle is always the first one on the line and the last one off. It goes non-stop the whole time we are there except when we change out targets. You will never go wrong with that one no matter which make and model you choose.

CZ or a high dollar Anschutz everything else is secondary at best.
