    Which range near Pleasanton?

I'm going to be staying in Pleasanton for 4 days/3 nights, the 26th -28th, for some technical training. With nothing to do at night I figure I'll bring some handguns and ammo and go hang out at a range to kill time.

What's the best / nearest place to go shooting?

Last time I went to the range next to the Milpitas PD. Anything closer? Better?

Mac, are you going to be open any of those nights?

BTW, anyone down there interested in a 1944 Lithgow Enfield No1 MkIII?

Not sure if Livermore is back in operation, there's always the range out on Davis in San Leandro, not too far. Have fun.

Livermore is back in operation, but they close the rifle/pistol range at 3:00 Tuesday-Friday and 6:00 on Saturday and Sunday.

I haven't been to the Livermore range, so I don't know the hours of operations in the afternoons/evenings. The San Leandro range is actually against the flow of traffic along 580, so it's not too bad, and they're open until 9 pm. You can even bring a rifle if you want since the 100 yard range is open.

Of course, handguns are more discreet.

anybody have a link for Livermore?

Livermore-Pleasanton Rod & Gun Club offers a variety of shooting sports. With some of the best facilities in N.Cal it's a safe and friendly place to shoot.

Check out this website. They are the closest that I am aware of. I have never been so I can't comment.

Check back later for a witty comment.

Nice range, but they close at 5pm.

targetmasters (milpitas) is the only one opened late at nites (IIRC they close at midnight).

all others are outdoors and well...

san leandro range, is both indoor and outdoor so they close when the outdoor does...

If you're going to hit up Milpitas, let me know. I can't make the 28th, it's my sons birthday but I can probably make the other days.
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

Karl - email or IM me a phone number where I can reach you after 5pm while I'm down there. I'm getting together with my son tuesday night, so maybe wednesday night the 27th?

Another BTW: A cowrker of mine has a pristine Mosin M44 and Yugo M48 he wants to get rid of. He's authorized me to bring them with me if there are any interested parties down there. IM or email me ahead of time.
