I was talking with some friends about what would make a perfect gun shop, and I'm curious to what you think? What guns would they stock? Prices? Accessories? Ammo? Gun smith services? Online transfer fees? Etc.

No mall ninjas or FUD. And would have to be in a free state too I suppose. I personally have 0 interest in shops that don't have an active and fair prices consignment and used gun selection. Good parking. A restroom is a plus. No typical gun shop employee attitude.

But I'm a easy going law-abiding person, that might not work for everyone in the US today.

Staff volunteers and /or just staff to answer questions.
Have a mandatory and updated booth highlighting laws and changes
NRA, CRPA, CGN, literature and portal to become a member.
Dummy guns (red or blue) for first timers to get a feel, as they flag you
AR parts! Small parts, no where can I ever find a damn detent!
Frequent buyer cards, free mag or box of ammo over 3 purchases a year
In house gunsmith, in house cerakote, in house Kydex makers
5 lane firing booth for testing and first time shooter classes.
Conference room (rent for classes)
LEO or Active duty, First responder fast track line
Updated website, social media, with frequent content.
% of proceeds go to current lawsuits etc for forward progress.
I can go on and on... I have spent many of hours inside many shops here in Socal. There is a lot of room for improvement.
110% cannot stress enough how the guy behind the counter should be more knowledgeable and informed then the person asking the question. Keep yourself updated constantly.Comment
