How light is your safe that 40lbs is going to make any difference to it?Last edited by tradecraft; 11-24-2017, 8:45 PM.Link to my feedback: https://www.calguns.net/forum/market...ser-tradecraftComment

I play the odds. Small odds of a burglary. Small odds it'll be more than one person. Small odds the burglar(s) will bring the right tools. Small odds the burglar(s) will want to hang around. Guns have locks. Windows all have tempered glass on the outside. Doors are either metal or solid wood. Cabinet has ammo on the bottom. Come to think of it, buying more ammo has the ancillary benefit of thwarting thieves (yeah, sure
. If only I could train our cats to bite and scratch the crap out of intruders.
There's no way to stop a determined thief, so my plan is to make it prohibitively expensive in time and effort for the smash-and-grabbers.Comment

Bulk ammo in a metal safe. That’ll make a nice bomb during a fire. Genius!

Build a nice wood cabinet around it. Screw the frame of the cabinet into studs, and frame tightly around the safe. Cost you all of $40 topsComment

Put bolt inside of return air duct, hook a steel cable to it set safe over, run cable thru bolt holes, tie off inside(make it tight so little to know play) bam good to go.
40lbs is really nothing in my opinion.Comment
