The authors solution to stopping these killers is..................Any ideas on how to slow the shooter down ...........Any ideas on how the military can relay information to civilians/LE........Thoughts on how the mental health system can help people......?

    Crickets

We can play the what if game all day long. What if the shooter didn’t have a firearm but instead used a rented truck? What if church goers were carrying? What if .....

Opinion articles with an agenda do no good. People need to come together to figure out how to prevent, stop and/or slow down these killers.

The good guy with a gun is no myth. When you look at the facts as pointed out every month in journals such as "Armed Citizen" in certified publications. Clearly Bad guys lose when confronted with good guys with a gun...

Unfortunately the 1st amendment allows lies and false information like this article to be printed with what is true. It is up to the reader to know reality from myth.

            Here's one now:

An off-duty military police officer shot dead two armed robbers while holding his child in one arm when the pair tried to hold up a pharmacy, CCTV footage shows. Sergeant Rafael Souza had walked into the business 40km outside the city of São Paulo, Brazil, with his wife and child to buy medicine when the two men burst in wearing hoods and wielding guns. One of the men - Jefferson Alves, 24 - then reportedly pointed his weapon at Mr Souza, who drew his pistol and is seen on camera shooting the attacker at close range.

That is a load of crap that as soon as you have a drink of alcohol you cannot use a firearm safely. Wonder how just our recent history of cowboy west even survived out here in the saloons.

Take a few minutes and read history over the centruries of just warfare and alchol. Of course getting blitzed is not helpful. Having 1 or two or even more beers for some folks will do nothing negative and can be positive for their accuracy.

I can guaran god dam tee you id rather have an arm on me in a bar with a lunatic then not. I am also not an alcoholic and dont get waisted.

Save your breath... no I do not endorse booze and gun play. I do realize true life that someone who has a glass of wine, or even two is not a sloppy unsafe shooter if called upon.
You mean if I have a few beers at home and home invaders kick down my front door I can still utilize a firearm to defend my family? After years ot reading CG I thought the appropriate response in such a situation was to assume a fetal position and call 911 because "guns and alcohol" don't mix and you lost your right to self defense after that 1st beer.
