    Mall Scanners ?

Hello GalGuns member i just happen to be a new comer and just wanted to introduce myself to all of you, with a question hoping you have a answer.
I just recently started conceal carrying and wanted to know if anyone could
tell me if mall scanners at the entrance are able to detect your firearm as well as
the scanners leading into main entrance of the mall.they are the ones that detect
    merchandise being shoplifted .

Welcome to Calguns. Metal detectors and anti theft scanners are two different devices. I don't know what they have at your local mall so you would need to check with the mall office or mall security to ask them.

I'm in Arizona and have walked into many stores in a few different malls. Never had a problem. No alarms went off. Those store scanners usually detect the tags the sales people remove after you buy the merchandise.

The ones at the banks will, within their "double-door" entry systems. See that in some areas in LA, but many places have begun to take those out. Customers hated them. Those are metal-detector scanners, not RFID chip scanners.

The anti-theft scanners at retail entrances are designed to detect Radio Frequency ID (RFID) tags, placed on merchandise. They are not metal detectors, or in any way designed to detect firearms. A metal detector would have to be manned, as any ferrous metal item would trigger said detector; anyone wearing a metal belt buckle, or similar, would have to be individually checked.
