    Turners - Chino Hills

I just went to the new Turners in Chino Hills to pickup some gun cleaning supplies and.....wow. I can't remember the last time I've been in a gun store in L.A. and felt giddy just being there. This is the largest Turners I've been to. And the inventory was impressive. Very complete, including some high end items like custom shotguns and Freedom Arms revolvers. If you're a 1911 lover, you will be happy. Not only did they have a very extensive lineup from Colt, Springfield, Kimber, S&W and Para-Ordnance. They even had several models from Wilson, Les Baer and Ed Brown and as far as can recall no additional markup. The listed prices is the same as it would be if you ordered directly from Baer, Wilson or Brown. This store is a must visit.

    The electronic earmuffs looks tempting.
'Cuz big holes are easier to see.

There's a relatively new Turners in Escondido like that. It's easily twice as big as any other Turners I've been in. It's much better stocked (both guns and accessories) that any other Turners as well. I mentioned to my wife that "this is probably how gun stores in the USA are".

On Chino Hills Parkway, about 100yds west of the 71 on the north side of the street.

EDIT: Went there today. Verdict, meh. Maybe a bit more well stocked than the average Turners, but basically not that much different. Bonus is that there's a new In-n-Out one more exit north on the 71.

I wonder if that Chino Hills Turner's is stocked up on ammo. Cause the last time I went to the one in Pasadena they were out of 9mm FMJ (out of stock for over a week and a half) and were completely out of slugs for any size shottie.

They have a lot of ammo there. I saw a bunch of boxes of 1000 S&W reloads. Picked up some of the blazer 9mm that was on sale. I must say that turners was bitchen. The cammel/tan socom 2 looked very nice. It was twice as big as the other turners I have seen.

I went on friday just after the lunch hour.. a madhouse... barely any .22lr left.
did pick up some xm193 though.. haven't tried it before. they had cases of it, but i just went with two boxes of 20.

didn't get a good look in the glass cases... being only 20 bites.

I stopped by two weeks ago before their "grand opening sale" and spotted some Wolf Match Extra 22. Went back this Saturday during the sale and found it had been marked up $2 higher than it was in my first visit!

I ended up buying some and was overcharged, so I brought to the sales lady's attention the fact that there were now two price stickers on the box, with the new one being $2 higher. She smiled and said someone must have been 'sticker happy' back there before refunding the overage. Yeah really great sale they had going there.

I know prices are up everywhere, but the 9mm and 40 Blazer Brass at Turner's Chino Hills seemed like $5 more per box than I just paid at Wally World. Recently I got some cleaning item at Turners Orange then stopped by Fowlers on the way home. I was shocked to see the item was actually cheaper at Fowlers than Turners! I'm wondering if Turner's new owners aren't starting to drive their profit targets higher.

The Wally World in my area does not carry ammo!

Salesperson at Wally World pats my shoulder: "Sorry, but we don't carry ammo because we're close to a school."

WHATEVER! There's a school located every few blocks/miles. There is no way around that. What a poor excuse.

Does anyone recall if the Chino Hills Turner's has CZ SP-01's?
