gun safe $500 range?

    gun safe $500 range?

    was doing some searches and found alot of safes, but was wondering what the best for this price range wound be? something i can put a few rifles on one side and shelving on the other.

    From what I've seen it really depends on what you want as far like thickness, fireproofing, ect.

    I've seen heavy duty fireproof safes around $1200 and wal mart "gun lockers" for a few hundred.

        Home Depot has a small 14 gun Sentry safe for $400.00 bucks. i don't know if it is DOJ approved for California.

          Pretty sure that is DOJ approved with 20-30 mins of fire protection if it's the one I am thinking I saw...

              Stack on makes cheap metal lockers which are DOJ approved. You can find them for about $100 and stuff ten rifles in them if you try hard. Much better than nothing.

                Outdoor Sportsman in Stockton has the smaller American Security safes with a 20 min fire rating under $500.00

                      nope I'm not, I already have a safe but might need a a cheaper one in the future... Although 12 guage is a bit on the thin side it's definately not bad for the price.
