    Let's discuss this...

Just for the sake of discussion, as we know Californians can no longer purchase ammo on-line (as we have been doing) come Jan 1 to where it would be economical (going thru an FFL after Jan 1 will probably be more costly then buying at a LGS).

Last I recall, there are 39 million people living in the state (not sure if that includes illegal aliens). I think 6 million are firearm owners (I read that in Guns & Ammo a couple years ago). I'm wondering if the economic/financial impact to out-of-state ammo vendors can be measured for the lack of ammo sales they'll have in 2018. Or to put it another way, SGAmmo, Cabelas, Brownells, PSA - will they be pinched in 2018?

Doubtful. If it mattered, you'd think they would have funded activity to oppose Prop 63.

We’re pretty boned. For less than $200 you can get your FFL 03 and COE and order onlin euntil your hearts content. If you shoot a lot, that $200 gets made up quickly in savings vs buying in state.

You can still order ammo on-line. Just has to be delivered to an ffl, then you pick it up from there. Of course the ffl will probably charge you a fee for that.

Some vendors may decide not to ship to a California ffl. Their loss.

Either way it will probably be more expensive for us to buy ammo.

And the 200 is just the first year. After that its 22 (coe renewal) +10 (30/3 for the ffl) per year.
Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

Not to mention you get the same dealer discount as an 01 FFL at many places like Grafs.

True, but negligible when compared to what I will save since I shoot a lot.

Just head to Yuma and pay with cash or card. Neither store there ask for ID when making purchases (regardless of what you buy - except firearms of course) and managers at both smiled when asked if that would change on 2 Jan and said "no."

What is there to even discuss? Of course sales will suffer.

If I was a vendor , I'd hate to loose any state ... and really hate to loose one as big as Ca.

Seems to me, this is a windfall for the state and ammo sellers in California. The losers are those that do not have an 03 and COE. I haven't ordered much, buy most of mine local. Does anyone know if our purchase online will be reported to the state next year?
