    Thompson Contender

    Hi!

I'm looking to purchase a Thompson Contender single shot pistol and found a deal located in New York. After talking to two of my FFL's, each is under a different impression. One says that they won't be able to be transferred in from out of State, and the other says they are Ok under the fact that they are single action, break open, and factory....

Can anyone shed any light on this? The CA State roster website is no help....

    Thanks,

    Dave

I would hate to go through everything (sending the money order) to find out that my FFL is wrong.... that's my fear here....

TC Contender is exempt from roster, so it is not on it.

Break-open single shots are definetly exempt of the roster.
Avoid the FFL who does not know that.

Buy local and leave all the hassle behind.

There are plenty of them for sale locally to avoid the hassle, but they are roster exempt.

I have purchased one here in CA before, but i found a deal with multiple barrels, the ones I want and need, in NY at a pretty good price....

I have a 44 magnum super 14 I am pondering selling. Comes with a Burris scope. Gun maybe has 25 rounds through her.
