Why'd they cut it short? I wanted to see how it turned out for that holster._______________________________________________

It wasn't the holster. It was the lack of a proper belt and the tactical track suit. Too bad he couldn't identify the true issue during his tantrum.
But I do hate fobus holsters.

Agreed. If you put a paddle holster on elastic pants without a belt, it will be difficult if not impossible to draw the gun without pulling the entire holster out of your pants.my Benitez goes to 11Comment

Class is not the place to test your new gear... and it looks like the student in question had never drawn a handgun from a holster before.Last edited by 200Apples; 10-30-2017, 9:28 AM..

CS, while sometimes entertaining, is not a good teacher or a good business man.
This was a paying student, who was there to be taught.
Did the welcome orientation include what was needed for the class?
(Or did CS spend that time rambling about something else?)
Shouldn't have CS quietly advised the student to hurry back to his room and get a belt instead of shaming him in front of the group?
Did CS buy the student a new holster to replace the student's property that CS decided that he could take and destroy?
CS has probably lost a lot of future customers with this vid.
But hey, whatever makes CS look good in his own mind is all that must really matter.Last edited by ojisan; 10-30-2017, 10:08 AM.

Ok, but take into consideration the nature of the course. He's training (probably a layman) on use of leathal force in a hypothetical life and death situation, essentially kill or be killed. If you're paying for something like this and your not familiar with your equipment it's better to get the "extra special attention" at no extra charge than to potentially figure it out during a real life incident that your concealed carry setup is not compatible with your Tony Soprano track suit.
And it's also a teachable moment for the rest of the class._______________________________________________

K. Clint is very straight forward about having no tolerance for unreliable equipment. It's part of his schtick.
Point made. If one gets his panties in a bunch on stuff like this, then TR courses arent for them

You have to consider the era he went through the Marines in. It's SOP for those old school ex-military guys to humiliate people in that manner. There are plenty of videos out there of this guy, it should be no surprise to anyone who signs up for his courses._______________________________________________

I'd say that's an exception to the rule. He's extremely funny and I've not heard of any complaints from his students. It's even posted with the video that the guy in question wanted them to post it and took three more classes after that one. So apparently his feelings weren't irreparably damaged.
Now Yeager's crew stomping on a loaded Glock? Not acceptable.
I think you should know what you're signing up for. In regards to the instructor and your own equipment before taking the class. Showing up with inadequate equipment is wasting other paying customer's time. Could also be a safety issue, though not in this case. His demeanor is well known. He is politically incorrect and gruff, but very experienced. If I screwed up and got my ego bruised a little, oh well, the lesson stuck.
I think any kind of firearms training needs to be researched before going. If someone is very sensitive and can't handle yelling on a hot range, maybe smaller classes and a gentler instructor would be best.Comment

... and taught he was.
When you consider whether someone is a "good teacher" you must look at how well his students do after the class, not whether their ego was bruised. Similarly, when evaluating whether someone is a good businessman, you have to look at the target demographics, not how a snowflake will feel.
My guess (and it's only a guess) is that people who seek the type of training he provides will see the video in a positive light. My guess is also that students come out with valuable knowledge. Since most of his classes are booked to capacity, it's likely that my guesses are pretty good.
