        The finish does come off easily but that's about it. The tape used to put a "SOLD" tag on it took some of the finish off. I haven't had an occasion to check the fire rating yet tho.

            I picked one up from Tractor Supply on Black Friday for a good deal. Have had no problems with it since (other than I may outgrow it soon).

                They still do sell them. They are made by Cannon, but under Cannon's alternate name Executive Vault. I got the EV900 for Christmas this year. Puts my other safe to shame!
