It's a good idea but if ts limited by one designed hole to lock the stock in. It is not very far back if you need have longer arms.
Definitely worth a try but Aim Sports has two products to look the stock at any hole on buffer. Aim has stock types listed.
Parallax Tactical has similar ones for different types of stocks as well.sigpicComment

I have one on one of my rifles, it is not limited to a single hole until you size it to where you want it to be. Once you find the position that you prefer you trim the two pieces to expose only that hole.
It works well for what it is designed for, is it legal is hard to say for sure.
It does prevent you from setting your adjustable stock anywhere other than the length you choose and cancels out the adjustability aspect.
It seems to fit the law but since CA DoJ will never tell you 'Yes this conforms to the law' no one can say definitively.
All I can say is I'm using one with an MFT Minimalist on a featureless build.sigpic NRA Benefactor Life Member / CRPA Life Member / SAF Life Member

How does this differ from a strip of plastic with one hole drilled in it? Does it somehow lock the stock into place so it can't be moved at all, or does it only prevent you from stopping the stock in more than one position?my Benitez goes to 11Comment

A few Ebay sellers will have them available now- Otherwise they have been damn near impossible to find. You can cut it to fit any stock position you want. If you want to be damn sure its fixed, you can put one tab on upside down, then tap your stock on with a rubber mallet. The 5-0 can jump and dance all they want, that stock isn't moving, but it is reversible with some garage tools and swearing.Comment
