BLM shooting/camping

Don't know if this is the correct topic but I need help.

My friend is planning on a weekend in Nov to go camping and shooting in RivCo. This is the area he wants to go.

Is this area ok for these activities? I'm not familiar with it so I was hoping a fellow CG'r can aid. If not good where can we go?

The area you show on the map is under Stage II Fire Restrictions and looks like it is not actually in the Western Riverside/San Diego Fire Closure Area, so unless there are some other local or seasonal restrictions, recreational shooting looks gtg.

My phone isn’t giving me a location for that link, however, fire restrictions aside, there aren’t many “camping” locations that you can legally go “target shooting”.

The red cloud district? There is a wilderness area there, have him check for that. And the mines may have some activity going on. Fun area, but keep out of the wilderness. And make sure he stops at the Patton museum on the way!

Edited: My favorite area. Can someone link me to fore restriction website? I googled but it seemed to dorect me towards the fores and residential crap. OP chdck out Amys wash and Red Canyon Jeep trail. Watxh oit for wilderness area. Its desolate out there. My kinda place
