It sucks to want a gun bad and not be able to get it, becuz its not approved by the great state of California. Surely its some legal way around this right? I see HK45s sold on here. How can I legally obtain the gun of my dreams?

Find someone moving here and have them bring it in for you or find a leo to bring it in for you. It might be possible for an out of state relative to gift it to you, but it would still have to go through an FFL. You would have to check into that, its just something I remember hearing but I never looked into it.

thanx for the advice. What about the Military? Can soldiers get guns that aren't on the list?

They are working on the NeRF issue and may have a workaround to the CA gun list shortly, so you may not need to move.
