Has anyone tried Gun Skins ?

I was trying to decide what I wanted to do with my AR and decided I was going to have it Hydro Dipped - until I saw the price. The I came across Gun Skins.

I figured for $30 for my Glock and $60 for my AR I would give it a shot. They are removable without any damage to the weapon so no harm- no foul if I don't like it. There was no problem firing the Glock and no noticeable wear on it after a couple of hundred rounds.

Here are some photos of how my Glock turned out and what I've done so far on my AR. (by the way - when you order for you AR make sure you pick the AR and NOT the rifle !!. The rifle kit is for a hunting rifle and is a completely different kit - AMHIK.)

Not as perfect as Hydro Dipping but I have $330+ more in my pocket for other goodies.

Looks really cool, BUT that's equivalent to putting a American flag wrap on a Honda Civic. On a US manufacturer firearm it would be more appropriate IMHO.

most glocks you see will have been made in the US by Americans.

I've used it and it stands up to the firing.

Never hurts to have something you look to look at as well as fire.

Since we're on the topic of external glock modifications, look up Tactic Skin slide covers. I think they run about $30 but they have the same thing on aliexpress for somewhere around $12. I have a blue one (with the blue grip to match), a dark grey, and a sand color. They alright.

Also, photobucket never works anymore. Imgur is way better for image hosting.

I think it looks great and you can't even see the Glock part so don't sweat it
