I've got ammo and a Contender barrel but I have never shot it.

I got one for cheap in a divorce sale. I bought a ton of Eley ammo for it on clearance from midway USA. I ended up not really seeing the point and sold it to my brother. It was a decent gun but ultimately I like .22 win mag better. Of course that ammo is the same price as .308 now.

I actually considered one for squirrel de-population, but ended up going with .17HMR, which I!m very happy with. That round turns a griund squirrel inside out before they even hear it.

If I were you, though, I’d keep the rifle and lay in some ammo while you still can over the internet. It will likely be tough to find via LGS, as it is now.
