Where can I get cheap 30-06 ammo at? Either on the net or at a local dealer? I live in the L.A. area if that helps. Also has anyone tried the wolf new brass ammo? I found that for $8.00 a box, I just dont know if it's anygood.

What kind of rifle will you be shooting?
What are you going to be using the ammo for? Target shooting? Hunting?
Also, do you know if your local shooting range allows you to use ammo with steel jacketed bullets? If you're not sure, just let us know the name of the range and somebody here should know the answer.
There are a bunch of good options for ordering cheap 30-06 ammo online, but the ammo to get will depend on your answers to the above questions.__________________

It will be out of a bolt action stevens 200 and a springfield 1903. It will be for target shooting, And no the range does not allow steel jacketed bullets.Comment

This Lake City M2 surplus, I take it this is steel-jacketed then? I'm also looking for some inexpensive 30-06 for a Stevens that I pick up tomorrow. General plinking/target use as well, mostly at an (egads!) indoor range.Originally posted by five.five-six

The Wolf Gold line of ammo is made by Prvi Partizan in the former Yugoslavia. They make good ammo. All the full metal jacket Yugo ammo I've ever shot has been copper over lead with no steel at all in the jacket, so there is a very good chance the Wolf Gold would be OK for your range.Originally posted by glockk9mmHas anyone tried this ammo by wolf? After you site in yours, you will understand.
