Getting info wrong on guns after a mass shooting are the conspiracy theories from professed experts getting stuff wrong on guns when they put on their tinfoil hats.
Thing I've heard most have been...
"Stephen Paddock was too old and infirm to shoot an AR 15"...lol.
"The concert venue was too far"....I did the math, it was about 412 meters from the firing position to the center of the venue.
"That was definitely a belt fed weapon, I could hear it I spent 3 years in the Marines as a truck driver bro." Anyone who has fired belt fed weapons can tell you the rate of fire was too slow and inconsistent to be a true full auto belt fed.
"Those booolits couldn't have passed through multiple targets." Dumb, at those distances xm193 is going only 1600 fps, bullets are going to retain weight at this velocity.
"That much bump fire would have made the rifles too hot and would have broken down an AR 15." Guy had 10 rifles ready to go and all seemed to be high end very reliable and guy was found dead with one glove on his left hand.
"How did he get all those guns up to his room without suspicion?" The bellhop he gave $100 isn't asking questions of a high roller in a comp suite. Maybe I would draw attention because I'm 34 and wearing a Leupold t shirt or something, but not that guy.
