Anyone know what the story is with faith armory? Shop used to be packed with merch now its practically empty, they got couches where reloading, gun cases used to be, abt 1/3 of product on floor as used to be. Gun case slim pickens, no AR's... etc etc Surely the market didnt shift that bad, did it?

Change of ownership. I used to like faith armory, and all ways found things I needed/ wanted. Then once it was under new ownership it went to ****. Personally i would never even bother going there anymore. They dont have **** in stock ever, I already know if im looking for something they wont have it.Comment

New ownership huh! Well a store that size with merch to fill half won't last.
West Coast under new ownership too. That place expanded over a last cpl years, owner got out few mos after gunmegeddon got thru.
Brick and Mortar retail in general is going away....SavingtheRepublic Through The Art of Political Guerrilla WarfareComment

Did a PPT down there awhile ago (before the BB ban) and had a guy come up and meet me from San Diego. Did the paperwork on a new AK pistol and thought everything was a done deal. Then my guy left and was already on the freeweay heading back home when the gunsmith came out and told me they couldn't do it after all and that we needed to come back in.
I had to call the guy and tell him to turn around and come back, he asked why I said the gunsmith said it was a no go and they were cancelling the dros. When my guy came back we went back into the store and the gunsmith kinda sounded upset and he was sitting there holding the AK pistol unscrewing the muzzle break. He looks at both at us and say "THIS IS ILLEGAL!" while unscrewing the muzzle brake. He told us that we should be glad he isn't calling the cops for an illegal AW. We both sat there going WTF that is perfectly normal for a BB type pistol.
Anyways we tried to tell him the laws on it and that it was perfectly legal bla bla since it had a maglock on it but he wasn't having it and was getting pretty upset to the point he told the guy that brought the AK pistol that he was going to call the cops. So the guy had to take his AK pistol back and give me a refund and dove all the way back to San Diego, he was pissed as he needed the cash for something.
Originally everything was going smoothly with our salesperson it was only when their gunsmith walked out and started fondling the AK pistol is when things went sour.
After that incident I said never again with Faith Armory we wasted an entire day on that episode and drove over 100 miles all for nothing. Week later we met at Riflegear where he originally bought it from and did our PPT without any hassle.Comment

Yep, Faith Armory is circling the drain. The ownership change has been a total disaster. No inventory, their ammo prices are ridiculous and the sales force that remains is just phoning it in. I'm still trying to figure out the couches. I have bought a lot of goodies there in years past. It's just a shame.Comment

is it safe to say the fmr owners of Faith&WCA made their money and decided to cut loose after gunmegeddon bc they see the coming nightmare in this communist state?SavingtheRepublic Through The Art of Political Guerrilla WarfareComment

Wow, that hasn't been my experience with FA at all. The staff has always been helpful and most of them are pretty knowledgeable about their products.
Good selection of most ammo, although I agree their ammo is priced a bit high unless you are willing to buy bagged reloads. Quick and easy PPT's for me.
Inventory is about the same as the other gun stores in the area but not as well stocked as it was during gunmegeddon.Comment

I walked in to buy a fixed magpul stock since they always used to have magpul gear in stock. Needless to say they where oos since it was after the change, i was just gona order online but some guy said they could do it for me and have it in 2 days so i said sure why not. Nope took 2 ****en weeks, never again going back.Comment

FA wouldn't do SSE back in the day so I had to drive to O.C. Armory quite a lot. I don't mind if a store decides not to do SSE, but telling everyone that it is illegal and that they will get arrested is not acceptable. This was when they were still at their old location.
Since Nate sold it, it's been downhill. Many employees that I knew pretty well left too. From what I understand, Nate moved to a gun friendly state. Had enough of CA and I don't blame him.
Now, the new rumor (and I'll repeat, it's a *rumor*) is that FA owner is involved in taking over the shooting range at Pala, looking to add extra bays to the east of the current ones and open the range to more public use. This rumor comes from the board members of the Linea de Fuego, a local USPSA club to which I belong, who were involved in negotiations when the current management was about to sell the range (it's not really a "sell" deal, but let's not go into details). Since I haven't heard anything new in a few months, I don't know what the current status is and I certainly cannot vouch for any aspect of this rumor. Did I say it was a rumor? Just making sure this doesn't get confused as a fact.sigpicNRA Benefactor MemberComment

Speaking of Temecula area, the last time I was looking to get some bulk .40 ammo I couldn't find a single shop that had any. Turners had 9 and .45, just no .40. Faith Armory had just small boxes of self defense stuff and West Coast Ammo had no .40 whatsoever. Walmart had empty shelves with no locks on where ammo used to be.
Running anything gun-related in CA is a struggle.sigpicNRA Benefactor MemberComment

A+ for OC armory. The very best of the best. (the old dude is grumpy, but hey, he is old. He is allowed haha!).
But they handle things right away, no muss, no fuss, and they know what is up with the laws - and firearms, particularly AK builds.
Good to go in my book, better than "Bad Faith" Armory IMO.
As for the whole Pala range.
Whoever is negotiating with the tribe, better watch their butt.
I ride and race at Pala quite a bit over the years (MX track), and the last owner was chased off after having trouble re-negotiating the contract.
Once burned, twice shy IMO.sigpic
