the NEWS said he could have pawned his firearms for thousands of dollars, but decided it was best to turn them over to police.

Thousands of dollars? From a Pawn shop?
A pawn shop gives you pennies on the dollar when they buy merchandise to resell for a profit.
Not to mention, it's a 10/22 for goodness' sake.

Yesterday, my wife offhandedly joked that this Brit wasn't a gun owner, he just bought the stuff to get attention.

IMO, this guy was NEVER a gunowner. He chose .22s because they were cheap to dispose of. He of course chose the most tacti-cool, most outlandish .22 to make it look like a "machine gun", including "flash suppressor", vertical forward grip, the 25 rd mags, etc.

I'll betcha this Pring Brit was always an anti. Staged this all, with police, news media, social media, etc. The odds that a true gun owner would go thru all of this is almost nil. But a leftist anti? Better odds.

OK. This dim bulb turned his guns in to the police. Now the Phoenix police will auction them off to someone who wants them and can get some use out of them. In the end no guns have been "taken off the street". What has this bloody tosser accomplished? Zilch!
