idunno, looks kind of ghetto. I'd rather see someone make a mould and epoxy one up, that would be :smoking:

I understand that in some locales, such as the Philippines, people would make firearms completely from scratch simply because they weren't generally available.

I kinda like the idea - nice to know that it can be done if you ever had to get down and dirty in an emergency.

Did you see the actual thread? It might be ghetto but he hand made it all, and all the parts interchange with a real Ruger I believe...

Anyway I thought it was pretty neat for being truly hand made.

No doubt he has skill but it still looks like it was made and sold on some back street in tialand. Yes I repect him and his skills but that pistol is a little to rough for me. I would have started with a block of aluminum and milled a frame rather then bend and weld sheet metal.

That's pretty darn cool. It'd be real nice to live in a state that allowed you to do that.

The point is, it can be done with sheetmetal

I agree, it coulda been done nicer, but like my 9mm, it was done DIY in the garage... I think its pretty amazing. In my build all I did was adapt parts from other guns and make them work together... this dude made it ALLLLLL

It would be even more impressive if it were a new design, I.E. not a copy of a Ruger...

I wanna build my own .308 from scratch some day, something like a Johnson 1941 with recoiling barrel and rotating bolt, so no gas needed...
