    G19 gen 5

Have the opportunity to make a straight across trade for one of two off roster firearms. My trade is valued at $650. Offered to me is either a g19 gen 5, or an HK VP9. Looking for a CCW and was wondering if I should make the deal? I've seen how much each goes for PPT, but also want opinions on better CCW.
    -Thanks in advance.

I would get the HK VP9, it has more features and it's a higher quality firearm, it has better ergonomics, better factory sights, front slide serrations, no large cutout like the Gen 5 G19 has that many people dont like on the lower front strap. The HK also has a higher quality barrel.

that would be the best deal imo.

Id say that the glock has a higher resale value and cheaper mags.
Also they did away with a lot of things that glock users didn't like about the gen 3 and 4 and returned certain aspects of the design to the gen 2.
It's your call but for my money the glock is where it's at.
Although ive always wanted a vp9.

I'm torn as I know the vp9 is a great firearm, and feels great. But the resale value, amount of aftermarket pets and holsters, and price of spare mags leans me towards the g19.

Glock, parts are way easier to get and it will be easier to keep your carry gun fresh and in service.

I have a Gen 3 G19 and an HK VP9. I do like my G19, but I ****ing love my VP9. Don't even have a desire to purchase a Gen 5 G19. It doesn't do anything for me.

Glock 19's make excellent concealed carries. I highly recommend it no matter the generation. It's what I have carried for the last three years straight.

If you don't have a G19 than you should fix that.

I'm guessing you could take the Gen5, sell it and buy a VP9 and a used Gen3 G19.

Get the VP9 and then get a gen3 19, best of both worlds unless you absolutely must have the gen5 upgrades.

If you haven't looked at the prices for HK mags lately maybe you should.

                              If it's for CCW.....cost shouldn't matter.

I gladly paid $850 for a Glock 43 because it's my primary carry gun. I wouldn't pay more than $550 for the same gun had it be used as a range fun gun.

Don't know how big/tall you are, but the VP9 is a big gun IMO.

I'd go glock Gen 5 in a heartbeat of I was given the same two choices as you.

                              Good luck
