50 dead, over 200 hurt. Awful. Awful of course for those directly involved - the dead, the wounded, their families, the witnesses. Also terrible for those of us that enjoy this great hobby, who will I think be indirectly affected.

If you listen to videos that are already on the news sites its is obvious that the shooter had a fully automatic rifle.
As knowledgeable and lawful gun owners we all know full auto firearms are already extremely expensive, highly regulated and in many places already illegal.
This fact will be lost on the knee jerkers that will come out of the woodwork in the coming days and weeks.
You cant regulate closet crazies.
My quick google of Nevada guns laws says full auto is legal in Nevada within the limits of federal law.

Has anyone else seen the footage of the concert when the gun fire started? If you listen to the rate if fire, it changes slightly after the first burst or two.. At first the tone and rof made me think it was a full auto ak.. But the more I listen to it, I think he could of been using a bump fire stock.. I agree , some kind of bump fire stock / slide fire stock or trigger activator or that new glove thing. the rate of fire seemed to change . Of course if he changed the focus of fire the sound echoing off things would change.

I'm not a big poster, the only thing I see different is a few ITrader ratings ??

I had never visited off topic until I followed a link to another post a few weeks ago.

I also thought the rate of fire was too slow for a proper automatic.
It made me wonder if he had a BMF activator as it sounded cyclic.



Proper automatics tend to SPEED UP as they warm up and move through a magazine or belt.
