    ammo: gifting, trading, etc

Ok so I have searched this forum but have not come up with an answer to the following:

After January 1st 2018 can I do any of the following:

Gift ammo to friends and neighbors

    Gift ammo to relatives

Trade ammo for weapons or other goods

Allow someone at a range to fire my weapon with my ammo under my supervision

If you would be so kind as to point me to a thread that has already discussed this or chip in your 2cents here...Thanks

You can as far as I am concerned.
It will happen all the time. Just like ammo bought out of state being brought into the state.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Not legally, I believe the law prohibits all of that for more than 50 rounds of ammo.

if its to friends/family then by all means do what you want with ammo sell/gift/trade. Highly doubt your close buddies and family will rat you out. I do remember reading something about lending your AR being illegal if its been registered as an assault weapon. But if you're there nearby while they shoot it then it should be fine.

ammo hoarders that use to buy up ammo for resale wont be able to anymore without a ammo seller's license.

gun show vendors use to buy up WALMART ammo to resell

            1. Yes, as long as it is done through a CA DOJ licensed ammunition vendor. [PC 30312(a)]

            2. Yes, if they are immediate family member (grandparent/parent/child/grandchild) or a spouse/registered domestic partner. [PC 30312(c)(10)]
But, if they are not one of those relatives, then it needs to be done through a CA DOJ licensed ammunition vendor. [PC 30312(a)]

            3. See #1.

            4. Yes, as long as it is at a target facility/range and they do not keep any ammo. [PC 30312(c)(9)]

Move to a state that doesn't treat you as a Puppet and all of these worries and many more go away.

Sure they will if they're threatened with prosecution.

#1 and #2... how about dropping the ammo on the ground and somehow the other person “found” it?
