LOL, I've financed dozens of guns through two different places. Made down payments, DROS's, picked up and paid at my leisure, more or less. Handshake deals, just make regular payments and all is good. Pays to shoot with and get to know people.

I wasn't the only person they did this with, there were dozens. I didn't ask, they offered. They sold hundreds of guns that way and never got stiffed.

        Do you even freedom bro?

My thoughts are if your looking to finance a Hi Point then you should be looking into a cheaper hobby. I'm guessing OP meant layaway. Plenty of shops offer it. Some for 30 other for 60 or even 90 days. I have an local gun shop that allows 60 days but if you dros on day 60 you still have 30 days to pick it up and pay in full. That extends it to 90 days. I've used it on occasion when funds were tight.

Chances are, if he is on here asking about financing, he needs to finance one. It's obvious that it wasn't offered to him already. It also loosely implies that he needs to finance through them because he doesn't have a credit card with a high limit or he'd just do that and pay it off in a couple of months instead.

I realize I'm making some assumptions and generalizations here, but I sometimes assess risk and the initial post raised some concerns. I just wouldn't want to see someone get saddled with a 20% rate and pay a lot more for a gun. It's stupid and not worth it. Before you say "well his life might be in jeopardy", if it is, he can buy something cheap and quick and sell it to fund a better purchase later.

OP has the ultimate say in what he's going to do - it is his life. I just wanted to give him something to think about in case he hadn't thought about it already.

If he's talking about layaway, then he probably should say that.

Heck, if there were enough people that wanted to finance gun purchases, that's a business opportunity. I just had to finance a $30k sewer replacement project at my house for - get this - 29% interest. If there were enough people around that wanted to finance gun purchases, that seems like a good investment if the buyers want to pay that kind of interest.

Not sure if this thread is serious, however, I guess layaway is a form of financing. If this is what OP meant then the best thing to do is call all your local shops and just ask the question "Hello I was just wondering if you have a layaway program"? What is the worst that can happen?

It sounds like a business investment. You might want to finance the get a way car too, lol.

Don't do it, just SAVE until you have the means to buy.
