    I got to shoot a STG 44

    Full auto

An MP 35 (high trigger pull was semi-auto, low trigger pull for full auto)

    And an MP40 (full auto)

    Zee Germans!

Was the StG44 ammo original WWII, or reloads?

Yeah. The 7.92x33 cartridge is smaller with less recoil. The AK muzzle flip was more feisty when I shot it fa. I could have also been a difference in the rifle engineering. All three of these were remarkably soft shooters.

He let us shoot legit factory ammo. I don't know the manufacture date. But they all fired.

It felt like a 9mm carbine on FA. The recoil was much lighter than I expected.

Probably because the thing weighs damn near 11 lbs.

They were all pretty heavy, and the forward weight of the MP 35 was the most awkward. The gunsmith that was tending to all the guns that day accidentally released the bolt on the 35 and it almost came down on his foot.

Thanks for posting No video? ... Fun Fun Fun.. Own all you shot but the 35 and have fired everything up to a Pak 40 so good times! I have a PTR44 as well and like you observed, feels like a 9mm carbine. Reminded me of my MP5 and weight really aids in their stability. Is the MP40 on safe in the ready to fire shot? Looks like it's missing the safety sleeve...

                            Danke sehr!

The video isn't very exciting. 5 shots out of the 44 for each of us, which was generous. The 40 charging handle rotates and locks back on the last shot, like an MP5, and is locked/safe in that picture.
