I signed up a while back to be on the waiting list, and unfortunately used an email I don't check very often. Yesterday I checked it, and found an email they sent out at the very end of August. It was an invitation to go and become a limited member, went up yesterday paid my fees filled out paper work and I am now a limited member. Nice range, and prices aren't bad at all.

Correction, you need either:

- Three regular members who have been full members in good standing for over one year to recommend and vouch for you to the board and the regular membership.

- One member of the board of directors to recommend and vouch for you to the rest of the board and the regular membership.

You MUST be a current member of the NRA when you join WEGC and you must maintain that membership while you are a WEGC member. This requirement applies to limited and full membership.

The club full membership is capped at approximately 1600 members. We used to see about a 10% attrition rate every year...deaths, moves out of area, medical issues, disinterest etc... That has become less so in the last several years as the alternative ranges have become impacted or closed as well as the clubs ongoing improvement and development program make the range more appealing.

It is an awesome range. I was a member for a little over 5 years before I moved out of state. Having a private outdoor range you can use whenever you want is a rare thing in CA.

Yup...I enjoy getting there late afternoon before rush hour during the week. Shoot / train in the cooler hours before sundown. Go get a burger locally, come back and get some night training in then stow the guns, break out a cold beer and enjoy the silence ....

NICE!! Thank you NPFreedom. I am an NRA, CRPA, and of course CalGuns member! I usually try BLM (slowly loosing more of it) lytle or some other local range. I am all in for West End!

Another nice thing about WEGC, unlike public ranges and open public land, a very high percentage of members are current and retired LEO's who dont want to run into former "customers" when at a shooting range.. often when they have family and friends with them.
