Sighting in multiple scopes with laser

If I zero in a scope at the range at 50 yards, then I go home and mounted a laser on that rifle and match the laser dot with the scope crosshair at around 50 yards. I then remove the first scope and replace it with a similar scope and lined up it's crosshair with the laser dot. Is it safe to say that I have zeroed the second scope to 50 yards? Can I repeat the process for multiple scopes?

NOPE! by chance it may work or be close with something very similar in size but it's a gamble.

You'll be close enough not to matter at 50yds.
Why on earth would you want multiple scopes for the same rifle with the same zero?

I don't understand. Is he being forced out for being an ammo-grabbing fascist or for being a failure as an ammo-grabbing fascist?

It will be close. There are a lot of shooters that use this method when changing scope mounts or scopes on a rifle. If you can do further than 50y that will get you a more accurate result, depending on the strength of your laser.

As long as you make sure to keep your rifle perfectly vertical it should work pretty good.

I use a laser bore sight often, but only to get on paper at 100 yds. The bore sight can't alter itself to account for ammo differences. I tend to find that any time I change ammo brands zero also changes even if the bullets are the same weight and style.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

You are talking about something else.

Ive zeroed an atpial by putting the laser on top of the aimpoint dot at 100 yards. Its a common technique

It is not very adequate IME.

I say NOPE. Like others said, it will get you close but I would not rely on it with out shooting it.
