Do a search for "beer cannon" and you will see that the dont use beer, they use beer cans filled with sand.
The beef log was great, it totally bounced.

We had this potatoe gun at the shop i use to work at and we would make all kinds of crazy stuff to shoot out of it. Well one day we had the bright idea to tape up a big ball bearing to fit the bore of the potatoe gun,we shot that sucker into a brick wall and that SOB came back just as fast as it came out! That was the last time we did that. Had to share as i started to remember the old shop days.
