Does anybody know what this barrel is for?

Bought this barrel at a yard sale. I have no idea what it's for. Roughly 9mm/38 cal, rifled, no chamber, just the beginning of the forcing cone on the long threaded end. No markings. I could not resist for a few bucks.

See P/N 8. Another 50 parts or so and you'd have a complete revolver. One of my many could'a should'a would'a bought a DW kit back in the 70's.

The only "safe queen" I own. The 6" barrel has 6 rounds through it, others are unfired. Monson made .357 Vent Heavy. Still kick myself for not buying the stainless .44 mag Pistol Pack you can almost see off to right.
