Gun case foam

Anyone know a place to buy gun case foam for cheap? I've found some online but they are expensive. Looking for 48"x18" preferably 2" thick. I'm located in Temecula California.

There are plenty of places on line that a Google search should reveal...but none that I would qualify as particularly cheap. Foam seems to cost some money...particularly if you want the better closed cell stuff.

Check your local upholstery store, they may have remnants to sell you. They may even let you rummage through their dumpster.

search online for local shops that sell foam. while it may seem expensive, the shipping you pay for online sales equal it out in the end.

What kind of gun case foam? Open cell? Closed cell? Polyethylene? Polyurethane? Flat, eggcrate or pluck and pull?

What do you call cheap?
