    Trip to Arizona

I am going to Arizona in a few days for a short vacation. I have never been except for the grand canyon and am just trying to get a feel for what its like out of california. I will be able to conceal carry legally (my sheriff doesnt issue in yolo county even though i got robbed at gunpoint), and i will not worry about owning or transporting a bullet button rifle.

What ranges does anyone recommend visiting? that would be cool to try some full-auto rentals, hopefully something not too expensive like belt-fed 5.56. or gun shops? any non-gun-related spots I should visit too? bars/restaurants? just need some more ideas. (i will not be buying any off-roster handguns or anything.)

Visit Cabelas in Glendale and Brunos Shooters Supply in Phoenix.
      Keep it simple!

I go to Arizona a few times a year and was in Scottsdale a few weeks back and also checked out Bear Arms Firearms. Not a range but a cool shop to visit. Tons of custom 1911s which peaked my interest but they also had WWII machine guns and other cool stuff to look at.

Felt bad for drooling on their counters.

Scottsdale Gun CLub has the best selection of full auto rentals. Ben Avery is a great outdoor range but they do not rent anything.

If you really want to see what true freedom is like you can make a reservation with me. I have to warn you that you will never enjoy shooting guns again anywhere else after spending a morning at my range. I have people I take out to my shooting spot that have just as much fun 4wheeling to get there as they do shooting my machine guns. The nice thing about my shooting package is you can bring your own guns, you can carry your own guns, you can take as much time as you want within reason to enjoy yourself, and it is a relaxing environment with no else around shooting. The only rules are the basic firearm safety rules and to use common sense.

You can check out the range and pricing here:

Cabelas is a nice shop. The most interesting shop is azfirearms in Avondale.

If you want a bar/restaurant but also want to have fun on a shooting simulator this place is fun

Local camouflage. Also, DO NOT talk about the weather or lack of water. They know.

Just remember that unless you have an Arizona CCW (or one recognized by Arizona), you may not take a gun into any establishment that serves alcohol by the drink. (With a recognized CCW you may carry concealed as long as (1) the establishment isn't properly posted "no guns"; and (2) you don't consume alcohol.)

For your next trip you might consider getting an Arizona CCW. It's fairly straightforward, and you can apply by mail.

This sounds great. I read that i shouldnt go May-September because of the extreme heat. I HATE heat, might have to live more north. So maybe Ill try some full-auto then, thanks for the offer!

They sent my the Arizona Non-resident CCW application like right away. (unlike Kalifornia)

I will definitely not be concealing while drinking
