Gun buying online... Serial number request\choose?

Does anyone have any experience with being able to select a gun based off of the serial number? I have emailed several retailers (buds, PSA, grab a gun, etc). I'm waiting to hear back from them.

I'm just wondering if retailers would accommodate such a request and if anyone else has done this with success.

You could select your serial number when someone produced a batch of Calguns stripped lowers, but good luck doing that with a major retailer. If you have a specific firearm in mind, contact the manufacturer to see if it even fits within their numbering sequence and is available.

Those companies don't make guns, they just sell them.

If you want a special serial number, call the manufacturer and be ready for a "No" or a special price tag to match your special number....

I personally know an advanced collector of Beretta firearms and related Beretta products. He has had an decades old agreement with the Beretta family, where a certain factory issued serial number is reserved for him.

It's not a special serial number made for him just the standard number issued to Beretta firearms and their factory products. Anything Beretta with this serial number is his. NFA, AOW, Cans, Handgun, Long Gun, etc. If it has the Beretta name on it with that serial number (from any Beretta factory world wide), its his.

OP, I suggest you contact the manufacturer you're interested in and begin the process of eventually speaking with upper management staff who can hopefully answer your questions.

        Good Luck.

P.S.....Be prepared to spend money. Allot of money.

I'm curious as to why? Good luck with finding a manufacture without spending so cash to have a "custom" serial # if you will.

I very much doubt any online selling companies are going to be willing to sort through their inventory, tell you what numbers they have in stock, wait for you to go through them all and pick and choose and probably decide you don't want one and make no profit for a days labor.

              What he said.

              Retailers won't done it.
You need to contact the manufacturer.

              FWIW...
One group I'm in contacted a manufacturer and had custom (color, engravings, & serial numbers) run of AR receivers done.
Minimum order was 100 receivers, price was $250 per receiver set.

Glock will do custom colors with custom serial number prefix, if you order 10,000 pistols at a time.

You might be able to order consecutive numbers. Retailers aren't going to spend their time to search for a number.
Henry Rifle company has a special program where you can order a gun with a serial number you specify.
