    Horrible.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

I worked on an inpatient psych unit for a bit. I can tell you that to them it's not a temporary problem. It's an extremely debilitating struggle they have to contend with each and every morning. Some of those struggles are self induced some due to chemical imbalances, either way, you cannot minimize their feelings or medical diagnosis by saying it's a temporary problem. Often it's a life long problem that's well hidden.

My heart goes out to the family of the person who decided to end his life. No one should ever have to struggle the rest of their lives asking "what if---" Unfortunately, that's often the case.

When someone kills themselves, it is a sad thing, for the family and friends. Doing it in public weather it is at a range or on the street traumatizes everyone involved. Could it have been prevented, maybe. The ones left behind, right now are suffering the nightmare a suicide brings into their lives. He is gone now, my prayers go out to the family and friends that have no real answers but a whole lot of "what ifs".

              ND maybe?

You never know, I see people practice some amazingly unsafe handling skills at times.

Could be an ND. They do rent guns so a suicide is more likely than at a range where they do not but could have been anything. We probably won't have more info until tomorrow morning.

PS - they also have 3-gun matches on Wednesday nights so I wonder if it was there.

This happened a few months ago also, and they stopped renting handguns to single shooters.

Someone posted a very short video on Twitter of the scene, no details or useful video yet. Looks like it was either on the shotgun range or the rifle range which is the location of the 3-gun match.

Not that the news knows anything but NBC reported it was an accident, no mention of suicide.

If it was a suicide...what a scumbag. Want to off yourself? Do it in private where you don't hurt a hard working business or traumatize innocent bystanders.

I can't stand these people who kill themselves in such public ways. Last time this happened, i was stuck in 1 hour traffic because some idiot was making a huge show of whether he wanted to jump or not.

That sucks. Especially since they only have so many employees working the rifle range, probably a ****ty thing to deal with.
