If it is lake any of the other ones it will be a waste of time and money.

Mountain Aire started the, IMHO hugely successful, gun expo in Lodi and it's better than Code of the West.

I avoid them, over priced, nothing really interesting. I have better stuff at home.

Good to know. Thanks for the input, that's why I posted this thread to begin with, to get opinions........

The Lodi Gun Expo is the only show I go to these days, was thinking of giving Modesto a try this Saturday but I don't think they have free parking like Lodi.

On a Saturday morning I'd rather be at a bad gun show then sitting at home watching a good golf tournament on the boob-tube

The parking lot of the Civic Center does charge, as does the parking garage across from the Brendan theater.

I never have had a problem finding free street parking. Might've had to park a block or two away (10th and I or H, or on J / K). But I don't mind the walk.

Can you buy tickets at the door? Or do you have to use Eventbrite in advance?

I plan on buying at the door. Can't imagine they require advance purchases. Better not! I"m a' gonna be p'oed if they do!

No. I avoid Modesto like the plague. Besides, gun shows in CA are a joke. Not worth the time and entrance fee.

It's a family friendly event in Lodi with a Western style show.
Good place also for my new hobby, people-watching.

If it's as successful as Lodi's, the 1st Modesto show will get a 2nd before next summer.

I'd go after "The Rifleman" on AMC.
