Selling CA guns in NV or another state

I have a semi-automatic rifle which you can't buy anymore in California.

If try to sell to a dealer, would they any money or would they not given they can't re-sell in the state?

If the latter, can I sell to a dealer in NV or another state to make some money off of it?

I bought my guns late last year (registered in CA) and was hoping to make some money off of it since I don't really use it.

    Thx

      I have a S&W M&P 2 and a glock 21sf which I want to sell both.

What kind of money can I expect for selling these?

Both are still available & abundant in CA.

You certainly can sell them out of state, but keep in mind that people in other states can likely get them even cheaper & with 13 or 30 round mags while you're only offering them 10 rounds.

CA guns are worth less out of state.
Same versions out of state are cheaper than CA prices.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

A new S&W M&P15 Sport II can be had for around $450 in NV.
If you sold it to a NV FFL dealer, they would most likely pay you around $250-300 for it depending on condition and accessories.
If it has a "bullet button" style magazine lock or other CA compliance accessories, then reduce the amount by $50-100.

In NV, a used Glock 21SF is around $300-400 depending on condition and accessories.

So for both, you are looking at around $500-700 depending on condition and accessories.

California guns won't even fire out of state....kinda like those shopping carts with wheel locks when you go outside the parking lot bam the wheel locks rendering it useless. All kidding aside op you can sell the guns right here in this crazy state follow a couple of simple steps with the rifle to make it featureless.

The S&W M&P 2 is problematic in CA unless you can make it featureless. The Glock 21sf would most likely bring more money if sold in CA as a PPT.

There's always gunbroker. I've sold one rifle on there with success. Pretty straightforward.
